When to Enroll
Initial Enrollment Period (IEP): 7 months — 3 months before you turn 65, the month of your birthday, and 3 months after.
Open Enrollment (Oct 15 – Dec 7): You can switch plans each year during this period. Changes take effect January 1.
Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment (Jan 1 – Mar 31): You can switch plans or return to Original Medicare.
